Dr. Gimbel is a known leader in refractive surgery, and has more experience that most USA surgeons because the excimer lasers were approved for PRK and LASIK in Canada years before the USA. Furthermore, Dr. Gimbel in one of the most respected teachers of the subject of LASER VISION CORRECTION. I read this book while in Calgary for my laser surgery. I found it to be an excellent source of information and it also helped me to know what questions to ask my surgeon. That surgeon, coincidentaly turned out to be the author of the book. (I didn’t know it when I was reading it) p.s. That was 7/99 I now see 20/20 !!!

The book in search of 20/20,everything you need to know about Laser Eye Surgery written by Dr.Arun Lakra and Dr.Howard V. Gimbel is a great book.This book was very informative,well illustated,and you may say fun to read.I would recommend that anyone who is thinking about maybe having Laser Eye Surgury should buy this book,it’s really that good.
